October Chaos

I’m in the calm before the storm work wise.  The main baker has surgery on Friday and will be off for 4 to 6 weeks, meaning I will be back up baker as the present back up will be taking over, except he has a funeral he must go to on Thanksgiving weekend, the second biggest food holiday of the year and I will be the only baker there Ack!!!! Which means for the next month or so I will be back on my early morning shifts, so no Jeopardy, lots of naps, and possibly no watching Critical Role live sighhhhhhhhhhh.

On the other hand , Hedwig is finally coming along well

a
And I finished the cross stitching on Mulan, now onto the backstitching.

As for what I watched.

Critical Role - Are you supposed to get emotionally devastated by a fictional show?

Galavant  - All of it, what a lot of fun this one was and essentially a season is the length of a long movie so quick to watch and enjoy

Executive Decision - A Die Hard type movie, a plane is taken hostage and a team of experts have to take out the bad guy and of course they have along the one guy that is just there to give them information that of course has to end up landing the plane,  It’s a cliché from start to finish, but still a good adventure.

Eight Below - Through unfortunate circumstances, eight sled dogs get left behind in the Antarctic and this is the story of their survival and the attempts to rescue them it’s a wonderfully heart-warming story and holds a special place in my heart as it’s one of the very few movies that can make me cry.

Bad Co. Live At Wembley - A concert DVD. I became of mild fan of Bad Co. because of Supernatural, and then a friend talked me into going to their concert (it didn’t take much talking) and they were phenomenal so I bought this DVD cause why not.

Ella Enchanted - Another take on Cinderella, in this case poor Ella is given the gift of obedience by a fairy  and must do everything she is told. Including killing the prince.

WIPocalypse and Fair

It is time for September's WIPocalypse and the question on the month is

Tell us a story about the journey you took through one of your completed pieces.
I honestly am not sure where to go with this, Cindy is by far the most in depth and important piece to me that I've done, but I've chronicled her on here pretty thoroughly.  So another work I did will get the nod.  It's small and was one of the first kits I did.  I saw this adorable Eeyore and needed to make it for my Winnie the Pooh loving mother.  which makes this the first piece I made that I intended for someone else, Not much of a story, but she and I love it.

The last few weeks have been really busy, hopefully it will be calmer now, most of it was fun stuff, so no complaints.
The Rob Thomas concert was phenomenal in an unexpected way.  I saw him once before and then is was a standard pop rock concert. but this time it was just him, and a couple other guys doing all his hits and some of Matchbox Twenty stuff as well, all acoustic, it was such an amazing performance.
Also got to do some shopping when out, and in doing so found a couple fun stores in Penticton, a bead shop (Beadz) and they recommended I try the sewing shop as well which had a lovely supply of cross stitch stuff,  I also took the long way home so I could stop at Spotted Lake in Osoyoos.

The week after the concert was our fair and I did really well at it with the stitching, but what keeps my busy is the fruit, I am convener for the fruit division which means I have to set everything up, take entries, record what the judge does and take everything down again, it's a hectic but rewarding week of work.

I have managed to fit some stitching in as well even got back to Hedwig

As for what I watched.

Critical Role

Glee S06 E11-13 A satisfying conclusion to the series.

American Ninja Warrior - Caught up on what I missed during
Olympics etc.

Galavant S01 E01 - A medieval musical series, it’s awesome so far, and short so it shant’t take me long to watch it all.

Enchanted - A fun fairy tale spoof, the only thing I don’t understand is why they put Idina Menzel in a musical movie and then didn’t have her sing.  But everything else about it is wonderful.
